Recreational Waves
Description
Unfortunately, the decision has been made to cancel tomorrow's Hill of a Race event.
I realize in my email yesterday, I said "rain or shine", however, we did not expect the weather that hit us yesterday. Conditions around the City and the park itself have deteriorated, several obstacles have been damaged, and much of the course route would be inaccessible. Additionally, City resources are currently being allocated to help out with more pressing cleanup needs around the community. We know that past participants have a high standard for this event, and due to the condition of the park, and the area around the park, we would not be able to come anywhere close to that standard, though not from lack of trying.
You can expect to be credited with a refund in the coming days. We hope you can join us in 2027!
Welcome to Year #9 of Hill of a Race! We are back for 2026 and looking forward to seeing all of our returning racers as well as welcoming all the new entries!
