Description

The Coalition to End Human Trafficking in Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties presents the 1st annual Survivors Lead: Monterey Bay Virtual Challenge 5/10/50/100.

In this virtual challenge you can support survivors of human trafficking in the Monterey Bay Area while virtually challenging yourself to walk, run, roll, ride, paddle, or swim a distance that matches your goal, virtually following the coast of the Monterey Bay.

Start by signing up anytime in January and choosing your goal, whether 5k, 10k, 50 miles or 100 miles. Then, walk, run, roll, ride, paddle or swim anywhere and log your distance using our challenge platform. You will see your progress along the virtual coastline and receive motivational badges and messages along the way. You will have until the end of February to complete the full distance. This Challenge helps you reach your goals while supporting human trafficking survivors in the Monterey Bay area.

Here’s how it works:

  • Sign up anytime in January 2022.
  • You can choose your distance, whether it is 5k, 10k, 50 miles or 100 miles.
  • You will have until February 28th, 2022, to complete the total miles from the distance you choose.
  • You can run, walk, swim, ride, paddle, hike, bike, row, or move anyway or anywhere you want, inside or outside, as long as you log the miles.
  • All mileage must be submitted into the website to record each day or each time you complete more mileage.
  • You do not have to participate every day, you just have to finish the total distance by February 28th, 2022.
  • As you upload your mileage every day, you'll see your little dot move around the Monterey Bay coastline!
  • Your registration fee of $29.99 will go a long way to support survivors and includes a Thank You package from the Coalition.
  • Or register for free. The registration fee is waived for those who commit to raise $200 or more for the Coalition. All the tools you need to fundraise are included with registration.
  • Participants are invited to join a free webinar on Tuesday, January 25 at 6 PM Pacific to learn more about human trafficking in the Monterey Bay.
  • You’ll have the option to order our first ever Coalition to End Human Trafficking t-shirt. Stay tuned for more details

Thank you for participating and for your support! Human Trafficking happens here. Let's end it here.
