About the ASH Foundation
The ASH Foundation was established in 2012 as a division of the American Society of Hematology, a 501(c)(3) charitable and educational organization. ASH’s Executive Committee governs the foundation and exists to align donors’ charitable giving interests with the Society's mission and priorities.
The ASH Foundation is dedicated to moving hematology forward through charitable support for ASH programs – helping hematologists conquer blood diseases worldwide. This year, the 2024 Run/walk event proceeds will go to the ASH Greatest Needs Fund.
Every gift to the ASH Foundation is a vital philanthropic investment in sustaining the future of hematology as a vibrant, flourishing career path in both academia and clinical practice. The ultimate beneficiaries of gifts to the ASH Foundation are patients battling blood diseases.
Description
The ASH Foundation Run/Walk will take runners and walkers along the Embarcadero pathway along the Port of San Diego for an out-and-back course. Participants may choose the 3K or 5K course. Both events start at 7:30 AM. This year, participants may also choose the virtual experience and run a 3K or 5K on their chosen course.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from all individual and group registration fees and additional individual donations will benefit ASH's Foundation.
Bulk Registrations
Bulk purchases for a team or group may be made by contacting Tammy Huber, Meetings Manager, at thuber@hematology.org. You will be provided a form to complete to include payment, number of registrations, and contact information for a group leader. Tammy will provide you a coupon code that you will share with all team or group participants so they can register themselves and complete the required waiver.
