As Little Sisters of the Poor, we care for the elderly poor in the spirit of humble service that we have received from Jeanne Jugan. We welcome the elderly as we would Jesus Christ himself and serve them with love and respect until death. Since 1903 the Little Sisters of the Poor have cared for the aged poor in Delaware. read more...
Because of the generosity of our benefactors, thousands of needy aged persons have received quality care in a loving home-like atmosphere, where they can feel themselves esteemed and respected for the contributions that they have made to society. Indeed, today a number of our Residents are persons who were once in a position to help provide for the needs of others. Now, due to changes in our economy and in their personal situations, they find themselves dependent on the kindness of others.
As we strive to provide a comfortable home for the elderly with limited resources, the Little Sisters of the Poor are truly grateful to all who partner with them in creative ways to meet the needs of the elderly.
