About the ASH Foundation
The ASH Foundation was established in 2012 as a division of the American Society of Hematology, a 501(c)(3) charitable and educational organization. ASH’s Executive Committee governs the foundation and exists to align donors’ charitable giving interests with the Society's mission and priorities.
The ASH Foundation is dedicated to moving hematology forward through charitable support for ASH programs – helping hematologists conquer blood diseases worldwide. This year, the 2025 Run/walk event proceeds will go to the ASH Greatest Needs Fund.
Every gift to the ASH Foundation is a vital philanthropic investment in sustaining the future of hematology as a vibrant, flourishing career path in both academia and clinical practice. The ultimate beneficiaries of gifts to the ASH Foundation are patients battling blood diseases.
Description
The ASH Foundation Run/Walk will take runners and walkers around the convention area near the NEW Universal Epic Universe theme park. Participants may choose the 3K or 5K course, which starts at 7:30 a.m. This year, participants may also select the virtual experience and run a 3K or 5K on their chosen course.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from all individual and group registration fees and additional individual donations will benefit ASH's Foundation.
Packet Pickup
Packet pickup (commemorative t-shirt, safety pins, and chip-timed bib) must be done in advance in the main concourse of Orange County Convention Center, West building.
- December 4 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Eastern
- December 5 from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern
- December 6 from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern
- There is no day of registration or packet pickup.
If you preregister on or before 5 p.m. Eastern time on Friday, October 31, you are guaranteed a t-shirt in your indicated size. After October 31, size and availability are first come, first served.
What do I get with my entry?
In-person: commemorative T-shirts (if registered on or before Friday, October 31), commemorative chip timed bibs, and post-race snacks.
Virtual: digital bib to share on your social media
Bulk Registrations
Bulk purchases for a team or group may be made by contacting Tammy Huber, Meetings Manager, at thuber@hematology.org. You will be provided a form to complete to include payment, number of registrations, and contact information for a group leader. Tammy will provide you a coupon code that you will share with all team or group participants so they can register themselves and complete the required waiver.
