About the KC Temple Run
Established in 2011, the 15th annual Kansas City Temple Run is a 5K run made successful by more than 2000 participants yearly. Kansas City Temple Run attendees have donated truckloads of food and thousands of hygiene and cleaning items to various local charitable organizations including Valor Ranch (2019), Amethyst Place (2021), Della Lamb (2022), Hillcrest Platte Country (2023), Mothers Refuge (2024) and Veterans Community Project (2025). 

The 15th annual Kansas City Temple Run is excited to announce our 2026 charity partnership; Special Olympics Missouri (SOMO). The Mission of Special Olympics Missouri is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.

The Kansas City Temple Run was established to celebrate the Kansas City, Missouri Temple, to strengthen the faith and health of participants and to increase community involvement and outreach. All are invited and encouraged to register and participate in this wonderful event.
