FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a charitable event?
Yes. This is a free, family-friendly event benefiting Hillcrest Platte County. Temple Run participants are invited to donate items at the race, or make a financial donation HERE.

What if I don’t want to run or walk, can I still participate?
Yes, we'd love to have you sign up as a volunteer. From helping with registration, to handing out water, to helping with t-shirts, there are many volunteer opportunities you can help with. Aren't able to volunteer? No worries. The KC Temple Run is a family event and you don't need to register to watch and/or cheer on the runners – just show up and enjoy being a part of this community event.

Where can I park?
See parking information

Can I bring a stroller?
Yes. Strollers are permitted, but please be considerate of other runners. We encourage those with strollers and jogging strollers to start further back, allowing the runners a clear path. Also, anyone on the course needs to be registered – this includes infants and children in strollers.

Will the course be blocked to vehicular traffic?
Yes. Roads will be blocked to all vehicles. There will be police officers and volunteers (wearing “Helping Hands” vests) at the beginning and end of the course.

What is the distance of the Kids Runs?
The children will run approximately 100 yards.

Can kids do all the runs: 5K, Family Run and the Kids 100 Yard Dash?
Yes, kids can participate in the 3K Walk or 5K Run, as well as the Kids 100 Yard Dash. Please register them for just one event, and then they can still participate in both.

Are pets allowed?
No, unfortunately, pets are not allowed.
