Description
WE HAVE REACHED CAPACITY AND HAVE TO CLOSE REGISTRATION!
We invite you to join Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech in New York for our 1st annual Clarke's Listening Walk at the Zoo on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at the Bronx Zoo! Clarke's Listening Walk at the Zoo is a fun family event to raise awareness and support for children with hearing loss who are learning to listen and talk! Our young students and alumni, who access sound through hearing aids or cochlear implants, along with family and friends, will embark on an exciting listening scavenger hunt that winds through the Bronx Zoo. At the ten Listening Stops, participants will see if they can identify sounds like the honk of a flamingo, the bark of a sea lion, the trilling of a pygmy marmoset, and more.
Each Listening Stop will feature an interesting fact about a zoo animal or attraction and information about hearing loss, too. Clarke's Listening Walk at the Zoo will be a day of listening, learning, exploring, engaging, and fun! Registration will include the Listening Walk scavenger hunt, a boxed lunch, an awards ceremony, and full-day Total Experience admission to the Bronx Zoo while providing critical support for Clarke New York!
Using this site, you can register to create your own social team or to join an existing social team; you can make a donation in support of a Listening Walk participant or team or you can build your own fundraising team to support Clarke. There will be some pretty fantastic prizes for the teams that raise the most support for Clarke!
