Our 2021 5k will look a little different than our previous 5k events with the current state of COVID-19. Our 5k was canceled in 2020, but we didn't want another year to pass without us doing our best to raise awareness in the Pittsburgh area.
So how does a virtual 5k work? Your registration fee includes our 5k t-shirt (polyester/cotton blend) and a race bib number. Since it's a virtual event this year, you have the flexibility to complete the 5k at your convenience. We encourage you to wear your race shirt and snap a few pictures as you're completing it. Feel free to complete it individually or with your team anytime between May 1st-June 1st. This is all up to you. Upon completion, please feel free to use the link to enter your time.
Proceeds from our 5k will benefit the Pittsburgh Melanoma Foundation, which donates their funds to melanoma research and awareness programs at Allegheny Health Network. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit charity ran by volunteers who have personally been affected by melanoma.
