Due to Hurricane Helene, changed to a Virtual Race.
Dear Take the Hill Participants,
Due to Hurricane Helene, we’ve made the tough call to switch everything to a virtual format. Just like you, we’re really disappointed that all the hard work and volunteer hours put in over the past year won’t culminate in an in-person event this time around.
North Cross School and NCSPA put in a lot of effort to find a new date for the in-person races, but with the busy school calendar filled with athletic competitions, academic events, arts performances, and NCSPA community activities, we just couldn’t find a suitable time. So, going virtual has become our best option.
What Does This Mean for You?
As a virtual participant, you can run or walk your chosen distance whenever and wherever it suits you! Once you’re done, just upload your results on our website by midnight on Sunday, October 13. To make it even more fun, feel free to share your race-day photos on social media! We’ll be sending an email with instructions about race bag packet pickup and how to upload your results. In your race bag, you’ll receive your race bib, race shirt, participation medal, and some cool swag items. We’ll also include some fun ideas to help build our virtual community!
Just a quick reminder, our policy states there will be no refunds for cancellations due to weather or safety issues. This event is the only fundraiser for the Parents Association (NCSPA)!
We can’t wait to see how you all tackle your races! Thank you for your understanding and support during this time. Let’s make this virtual experience a memorable one!

We regret to inform you that due to Hurricane Helene, our upcoming timed 5K race, kids fun run, and untimed 5K race have been changed to virtual events. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Virtual Race Details
All registered participants will now complete their races virtually. This means you can run or walk your chosen distance at a time and location that is safe and convenient for you. You can upload your results to this website. All results must be entered by End of Day October 13
Rescheduling Efforts
We explored various options to reschedule the in-person events. However, due to the school's athletic calendar, SATs, exams, and other campus activities, we were unable to secure an alternate date. We believe this virtual format is the best solution given the circumstances.
Looking Ahead
We sincerely hope to return to an in-person event next year. Your participation and understanding during this time are greatly appreciated.Important
Reminders
No Refunds: As per our policy, there will be no refunds for cancellations due to safety or weather concerns.
Fundraising: Please remember that this event is a fundraiser for the Parents Association (NCSPA). Your continued support is invaluable.
