2024 NCS Take the Hill 5K & Kids Fun Run

Join us for our 7th annual NCS Take The Hill 5K & Kids' Fun Run on Saturday, September 28, 2024. All are welcome! The Ridgeline Course is one of this area's toughest cross-country courses. Compete in the 5K run or join the untimed walkers group. The Kids Fun Run will make a 0.8-mile loop around the hill at Fishwick Tennis Center.  We've got lots of fun besides running, including kids' activities, bounce houses, face painting, and other fun surprises. 

To guarantee a race day shirt and a personalized race bib, you have to register by August 28. If you do, you'll be entered for the 5K $250 Run About Sports gift card raffle and for the Kids' Fun Run we have two $20 Sugar Magnolia gift card raffles! Online registration ends at midnight on Friday, September 27. There will be NO race day registration. T-shirts and personalized race bibs are not guaranteed after August 28.

Packet pick-up will be held at RunAbout Sports on Friday, September 27 from 12pm-6pm. RunAbout Sports is in Townside Festival Shopping Center, near Montano's, on 3635 Franklin Road SW in Roanoke, VA.

RACE DETAILS: 

• All 5K Run & Walk participants will receive finisher medals, race t-shirts, and personalized keepsake bib (*Shirt/personalized bib not gauranteed for registrations after August 28)
• All Kids Fun Run participants will receive finisher medals and race t-shirts. (*Shirt is not guaranteed for registrations after August 28)

• Award ceremony will begin at approximately 10:30am. Awards will only be given for the 5K competitive run, since the walkers and kids fun run are untimed events.
