Marathon Information
START TIME: 8:00 AM

START LOCATION: NEAR ISLAND, near the entrance to Rotary Park
FINISH LOCATION: Bear Valley Golf Course
The marathon starts on Near Island, goes across the bridge, through town, through Nemitz housing on Tom Stiles Road, then to the golf course on Anton Larsen Bay Road. The marathon course continues past the golf course, through the scenic Buskin Lake valley, up and over the pass, down to Anton Larsen Bay, and continues to the end of the road where runners turn around and head back to the finish line at Bear Valley Golf Course. Part of the marathon is on paved road and part on a gravel road.
There are water stops along the way (approximately every two miles).
NOTE: The finish line is NOT in the same location as the starting line. Runners need to make their own arrangements for transport back to the starting line if they plan to leave a vehicle there.
