Meade State Park Winter Run Streak Challenge

THIS IS A FULLY-CLOTHED ACTIVITY! 

WHAT: An activity where participants are challenged to complete 1 mile (walking or running) every day over several weeks.

WHEN: Black Friday (11/229/2024) - New Year’s Day (01/01/2025)

WHERE: THIS IS A VIRTUAL CHALLENGE, COMPLETED ON YOUR OWN AT YOUR OWN CONVENIENCE! Mileage can be completed anywhere! But participants get a special bonus if they complete the miles at Meade State Park.

WHY: Connect people through a common activity, stay motivated and healthy during the holiday season and encourage visitation at Meade State Park during the off season.

HOW: Run/walk at least ONE dedicated mile every day between Black Friday and New Year’s Day. Mileage can be tracked on any activity tracking app (Garmin, Strava, Fitbit, Apple, RunKeep, etc.) or on pencil/paper (paper tracking forms are available for participants upon request.)

ANYONE can participate and ANYONE can win prizes!

For every day you complete one mile (or more), you will be entered into a drawing for some great prizes!

If you miss a day... (or two... or three...)

IT IS OKAY TO MISS A DAY! You will not be "kicked out" of the challenge and you will not be publicly shamed. This is a FREE, FUN event and we know the holidays are busy! Even if you miss a few days, you are still eligible to win drawing prizes for the daily miles you DO complete, and you can still win the award for "Highest Mileage" even if you miss a day or two.

Earn DOUBLE and TRIPLE entry for prize drawings!

Anytime you complete your mileage at Meade State Park, you earn DOUBLE entry into the prize drawing. Earn TRIPLE entry by completing miles on "Specialty Days" (see a full list of "Specialty Days" HERE). 

COMPLETE the STREAK!

Those that complete one mile every day from Nov. 29 - Jan. 1 (regardless of location completed at) will earn a coveted "Run/Walk Streak" T-Shirt and the ability to claim they "Completed the Streak!"
