Frequently Asked Questions
Who is this race for?
The Shamrock Shuffle 3k benefits Lexington Habitat for Humanity and supports our mission of building homes, communities and hope throughout Lexington and Fayette County. Learn more about our mission, ways to get involved, and how you can support us on our website.
Where is the start and finish line?
The start and finish line is on the corner of Main St and Upper St, in front of the Old Fayette County Courthouse. View the course map here.
How do corrals work?
When you register, you are asked to select a corral. This corral will dictate where you will line up to start the race. This is to make sure that the race starts as smoothly as possible. Runners will be placed at the front; walkers and strollers will be in the back. This ensures safety and flexibility for all of our participants. You can see which corral fits your needs best here.
Can I bring my stroller and kids?
Yes and yes! We intentionally selected the length of this race as a 3K and not a 5K+ so that the whole family can participate. We also have a race corral for those pushing strollers; please line up at the back of the group to allow for the pack to thin out by the time you get to the start line. Children in strollers or who will be carried do not have to have to be registered to be on the course with a guardian.
Are dogs allowed?
It wouldn't be Shamrock without the pups! Dogs are allowed and encouraged to join their humans during the race. All dogs must be leashed and controlled -- and please pick up any presents left on the course!
What should I bring?
Make sure to bring your bib (with chip attached), a water bottle (we will have a water refilling station with cups), and green gear!
Where can I park?
