Description
Clarke's Listening Walk at the Zoo is a fun family event to raise awareness and support for children with hearing loss! We invite you to join Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech on June 16, 2018 as our young students and alumni, who access sound through hearing aids or cochlear implants, go on a listening scavenger hunt through the Southwick's Zoo. They'll visit Listening Stops throughout the Zoo and will listen for sounds like the honk of a flamingo, the squeak of a bat, the hoot of an owl and more.
Each Listening Stop will feature interesting, factual information about zoo animals and will also include facts about hearing loss as well. Clarke's Listening Walk at the Zoo will be a day of listening, learning, exploration, engagement, and fun! The day will include the Listening Walk, a catered lunch, games and activities, an award ceremony, and full-day admission to the Zoo!
Here, you will be able to create your own social team to participate in the Walk together, join a social team, donate to the event or create your own fundraising team to support Clarke. Don't forget-- there will be some pretty fantastic prizes for the teams that raise the most support for Clarke!
