In 2021, the McKirdy Trained coaching team created the series to help athletes run their best marathons and qualify for the Boston Marathon or beyond. Our experience in these races gave us the idea that we could serve athletes towards qualifying for the USA Olympic Trials and maybe even the Olympics!
In 2023, we hosted an elite level race for just that purpose. Athletes from all over the world came to participate in a small localized race with the potential for massive impact. When the day was done, 48 athletes from 6 different countries ran under the 2:18:00/2:37:00 standard. 69% of the finishing athletes ran their personal best whilst 85% of the finishing athletes ran their second fastest lifetime marathon or better!
We produced two Olympians from the 2023 edition and now we want to expand the McKirdy Micro Race Series to athletes of all abilities. Join us at Rockland Lake State Park and race on the same course that produced more USATF Olympic Trials Qualifiers than any other race in 2023 with the same level of professional support!
The Races
An invitational marathon for athletes aiming to run a professional elite standard and/or qualify for the Tokyo World Championship in 2025. Entry standards apply.
The name says it all. This marathon is designed to help you do what just 4% of all marathoners globally have done - break the 3 hour barrier! This is THE RACE to run your fastest marathon. Entry standards apply.
The 10K distance seems to be the “forgotten” race distance, with fast 10K courses even harder to find. Our race is your best chance to run a new personal best or tune up for a spring marathon.

Parking, Bathrooms, & Gear Check
Parking
The closest parking will be Parking Lot #5 as well as Parking Lot #4. Parking is $10 for the day.
Bathrooms
Bathrooms are located on premises at the park.
Gear Check
There will be no gear check for the race. Anything left behind in the staging area at the start will be disposed of. Please leave all valuables in the car!
Deferrals, Refunds, & Transfers
Deferrals or refunds will not be provided for any of the events, no exceptions.
Transfers between events will be allowed pending race director approval subject to a deadline of 02/28/25. You may not transfer from the 10K into either of the marathon events.
