Description
Mental Health Miles 5K is an awareness walk/run to promote mental health in agriculture careers hosted by the Lumberton FFA Chapter.
A 2020 Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) article, Suicide Rates by Industry and Occupation — National Violent Death Reporting System, 32 States, 2016, reports a male suicide rate of 43.2 per 100,000 among farmers and ranchers in 2016, compared to 27.4 per 100,000 among male working aged adults across all occupations.
This race will take place downtown Lumberton, NC. The course is fast and flat suited for runners.
