BECOME A PARTNER
Build With NWANA
The NWANA Partner Network connects organizations that can help distribute, deliver, fund, equip, host, evaluate, promote, or strengthen Nordic Walking across North America.
You do not need to become a Nordic Walking organization yourself.
You may already have the people, locations, members, chapters, facilities, expertise, funding, products, or community reach that can help Nordic Walking grow.
NWANA provides the shared infrastructure: education, professional pathways, licensing, local group development, competition, technology, standards, and continental coordination. Local organizations and professionals use that infrastructure within their own authority and responsibilities.
STEP 1
Who Can Become a Partner?
The Partner Network is designed for a wide range of organizations, including:
- sport federations and governing bodies;
- sports clubs and sports organizations;
- national and regional associations or networks;
- government and public agencies;
- parks and recreation organizations;
- healthcare and health systems;
- aging and senior-services organizations;
- schools, colleges, and universities;
- employers and corporations;
- sportswear, equipment, and outdoor brands;
- foundations and philanthropic organizations;
- nonprofits and community organizations;
- military and veterans organizations;
- event and competition organizations;
- venues and facilities;
- travel, hospitality, and transportation organizations;
- technology and professional-service providers;
- research and academic institutions;
- media and communications organizations;
- local businesses and community supporters.
NWANA's Partner Network architecture uses these twenty primary organization types while allowing each organization to take on multiple partnership roles.
There Is More Than One Way to Participate
A partner relationship may involve one or several roles.
Your organization may:
Distribute
Make NWANA opportunities available through members, chapters, affiliates, agencies, campuses, employees, or locations.
Deliver
Operate or support local groups, instruction, programs, events, or participation opportunities.
Fund
Support organizational capacity, education, regional development, access, research, or specific NWANA programs.
Sponsor
Support NWANA, a program, Series, campaign, or event through an agreed sponsorship relationship.
Equip
Provide poles, apparel, footwear, technology, timing systems, products, or related expertise.
Host
Provide venues, trails, campuses, parks, meeting spaces, or event locations.
Educate
Support professional preparation for instructors, coaches, officials, organizers, and other roles.
Develop Competition
Support events, divisions, officials, timing, production, or participant services.
Research & Evaluate
Contribute research, measurement, implementation studies, or program evaluation.
Provide Professional or Technical Capacity
Support technology, legal, accounting, insurance advisory, CRM, data, communications, design, or other professional needs.
Build Awareness
Support media, public education, storytelling, communications, and audience reach.
Enable Public or Institutional Deployment
Help connect NWANA infrastructure with public, educational, healthcare, corporate, or other institutional systems.
These roles are defined separately from Partner Type so that one organization can participate in several ways.
What We Want to Understand
Before any partnership is defined, NWANA wants to understand:
- who your organization is;
- where you operate;
- who you serve or reach;
- what resources, network, expertise, facilities, or capabilities you already have;
- what part of NWANA interests you;
- and what kind of relationship you would like to explore.
That is why the next step is a short Partner Inquiry rather than an automatic enrollment.
What Happens After You Submit an Inquiry?
NWANA will review the information you provide and determine the appropriate next step.
Depending on the opportunity, that may include:
- a discovery conversation;
- clarification of the proposed role and geography;
- identification of the relevant NWANA pathway or program;
- discussion of responsibilities, support, funding, sponsorship, recognition, or deliverables;
- and, where appropriate, a defined partnership agreement.
Submitting an inquiry does not automatically create Partner status. The Partner Network framework explicitly separates inquiry, review, scoping, approval, activation, and public listing.
Ready to Explore a Relationship With NWANA?
Complete our Partner Inquiry Form.
It will help us understand your organization, your reach, your interests, and the type of collaboration you would like to discuss.
Submission of an inquiry does not create a partnership, sponsorship, license, certification, sanction, endorsement, appointment, or authorization to operate on behalf of NWANA. Any approved relationship is defined separately by its scope, responsibilities, applicable NWANA requirements, and written terms where required.
