NETWORK DISTRIBUTION

Bring NWANA to the Network You Already Have

Your organization may already have what Nordic Walking needs in order to grow:

members, chapters, affiliates, agencies, campuses, locations, professionals, facilities, employees, or communities.

You do not need to create a new national Nordic Walking organization or personally operate every local program.

The NWANA Partner Network creates a different path.

NWANA provides the shared Nordic Walking infrastructure. Your organization can help make that infrastructure visible and accessible across the network you already serve.

One Network Can Open Many Local Doors

A national or regional organization may have hundreds or thousands of local points of contact.

Those local organizations can then decide independently whether Nordic Walking fits their community.

For example:

National or Regional Associations

Make NWANA opportunities available to members, chapters, affiliates, or participating organizations.

Healthcare and Aging Networks

Introduce Nordic Walking education and participation pathways across facilities, agencies, providers, or local communities.

Parks and Recreation Networks

Connect recreation professionals and local agencies with a ready Nordic Walking framework.

University or Education Systems

Make education, group development, wellness, research, and competition opportunities available across multiple campuses.

Corporate and Employer Networks

Support employee participation or community programs across multiple offices, locations, or markets.

Government and Public Networks

Connect agencies, departments, jurisdictions, or public institutions with structured Nordic Walking pathways.

Sports Organizations

Make Nordic Walking education, groups, competition, and event pathways available through existing clubs or affiliates.

Distribution Does Not Mean Operating Every Local Program

This distinction is central to the NWANA model.

A network partner can communicate, refer, coordinate, support, or make opportunities available without becoming responsible for every local Nordic Walking group.

Local organizations and qualified professionals operate within their own authority and responsibilities through the appropriate NWANA pathway.

The model is:

NWANA Infrastructure

Network Partner

Members / Chapters / Affiliates / Locations

Independent Local Participation and Delivery

The Partner Network architecture specifically separates network reach from local delivery: a national network may distribute the opportunity while local affiliates independently choose whether and how to participate.

What NWANA Can Provide

Depending on the relationship, NWANA can provide access to:

Education & Professional Development

Instructor, coach, official, organizer, and other professional pathways.

Licensing & Defined Roles

Structured professional, athlete, group, and program pathways.

NW Groups

Fourteen local development models designed for different organizational environments.

Sport & Competition

Rules, event pathways, athlete participation, results, rankings, officials, and competition development.

Technology & Digital Infrastructure

Education, registration, licensing, groups, events, fundraising, communications, and data systems.

Program Frameworks

A common structure that local organizations can use without inventing a Nordic Walking system from zero.

NWANA's existing model already includes these shared systems and local delivery pathways.

What a Network Partner Can Bring

A network partner may contribute one or several of the following:

  • access to members, chapters, affiliates, agencies, or locations;
  • communications and referrals;
  • local facilities or institutional access;
  • staff or professional development opportunities;
  • regional coordination;
  • funding or sponsorship;
  • equipment or technology;
  • research and evaluation;
  • public awareness;
  • event or competition opportunities.

One organization may have one primary Partner Type while performing several Partnership Roles.

The Relationship Can Start Small

A national relationship does not need to begin with a continent-wide rollout.

It may begin with:

  • an informational introduction to members;
  • a webinar or professional education opportunity;
  • referral of interested local organizations;
  • a defined regional initiative;
  • a limited number of participating locations;
  • a joint event or educational project;
  • a structured pilot within an existing network.

The objective is to create a model that can expand when there is evidence of fit and local demand.

Interested in Bringing NWANA to Your Network?

Tell us:

  • who your organization serves;
  • how your network is structured;
  • where you operate;
  • what kinds of local organizations or professionals you reach;
  • and what you would like to explore with NWANA.

Submitting an inquiry does not create partner, license, sanction, endorsement, or local operating status. Relationship scope and responsibilities are confirmed separately by NWANA.
