The Liverpool Turkey Trot is planning for a live in person race this Thanksgiving Day November 25, 2021. Our team will continue to monitor the mandates and recommendation from Onondaga County‘s health department and CDC. 

The health and safety of our participants, volunteers and communities are always are top priority. We are very grateful to our loyal supporters throughout this unprecedented time.  Additional event details will be communicated once available.


If the race is not able to happen in person, all participants will be moved to the virtual run.  THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS!

Griffin Visitor Center - 106 Lake Dr. Liverpool, NY 13088

• Registration and packet pickup from 7:30 - 8:40am.
• Race course will be plowed and salted day of race.

The event is held every Thanksgiving morning at OLP near Griffins visitor center, under the lights on the lake. This year’s date is November 25th. The starting gun goes off at 9:00 am SHARP!

LTT will utilize the Chrono track bib timing device. This means that a participant’s time does not begin until they cross the timing mats at the start line, so the wave start will not impact your overall time.

Marked by manhole on E side of a grassy island in SE corner of parking lot for Salt Museum. S/F line is aligned with center of manhole, perpendicular to the E edge of P-lot.

1-mile mark: On ESRT, approx. 10 ft NW of N edge of Sycamore St..
Turn-around: On ESRT, 53.8 ft S of utility pole NG-17, located on N side of ESRT. (The label on the utility pole is in very poor condition.) Marked with PK nail in centerline of ESRT.

2-mile mark: After turn. On ESRT, approx. 100 ft SW of utility pole NG- 15. from utility pole NG 22.

3-mile mark: On curved segment of ESRT, directly S of W side of Salt Museum.

Awards are available for pickup after 9:30 am on race day, or once the course is closed.  Awards or shirts not picked up on race day are forfeited.

Home Town Good Deeds Hero Challenge

Log your run/walk miles, complete no less than 20 good deeds in your neighborhood & collect 500 Canned Goods!


Your miles, good deeds and canned goods will display on our Home Town Hero Challenge leaderboard. Cool stuff to help others during this time of need.


Collect virtual badges on your way to achieving your goal. Complete 20 good deeds and you may receive a prize.

School Competition

We've been dedicated to helping school districts for the past 7 years. This year we have added a wellness component to help track your students mileage.


High School, Middle School and Elementary School Competition


Total miles run/walked will be logged and tallied


Total team mileage will be ranked on our leaderboard


The school that accumulates the most mileage from 10/26/21 to 11/30/21 wins


The more students per school team, the better your odds of winning

Good Deeds

It's key to support your community and do good! Big or small good deeds carry a double punch of positive impact.

We challenge YOU to become a hero in your neighborhood by completing a series of Good Deeds.

From 10/26 through 11/30 you can tally and comment on the good deeds you did in your community.

See your rank against others on our leader-board. Post photos. Earn badges. The goal is 20 a person, but don't stop there.

Canned Goods

As the need for food increases during Covid 19, a big part of your registration goes to the food bank. The ability to turn to food banks and food pantries are crucial to meet the needs of all our communities food insecurity. We have created a cool way to track your support with nonperishable goods(Cans). From 10/26 through 11/30 you can tally the canned goods you collect and see how you rank against others on our leader-board. Post photos. The goal is 500 a person, but any bit helps.

Parking is available in lots and designated street spots in/around The Griffins Visitor Center and The Liverpool Village area, please note, some parking lots are privately owned and LTT does not control the price of parking, if someone is charging.

New this year, we are in collaboration with Garland City Beer Works on a beer using our logo for distribution with some modifications. The "wite" style beer will be ready in mid October for distribution(Kegs) and ability to sell 4 packs in cans. A percentage of profits will go towards the Food Bank. Cheers to Garland City!👏

The Covid-19 Pandemic

Our team is closely monitoring the pandemic as it relates to Central NY. Please have patience as we work with you processing your stuff during this challenging time. We are trying to adhere to all social distancing guidelines. If the race is not able to happen in person, all participants will be moved to the virtual run. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS!
