7:30 am–10:00 am. Start and end times vary based on location on course but no earlier/later than listed end time.
Directing runners and keeping them safe along the route are key. Duties include a proper understanding of the course, being able to stop pedestrian/dogs walkers and/or traffic while runners cross. Standing for long periods of time is required.

Location

You will be responsible to stage and direct volunteers in colors marked.
BLUE - Working the first half of course. 8 volunteers needed spread out at turns.
ORANGE - Second half of race to turnaround for 5 k. 6 volunteers spread out making sure runners stay to right,
YELLOW - 5 mile turnaround area. 2 volunteers

Parking Attendant- 35 needed High Priority

Details

Need: • Standing Job • Description: Work with our parking director Jeff Kline and Park Rangers on efficiently and safely getting cars into the lot the morning of the race that has space. Help direct race participants towards the event entrance/start line after being parked. Assist parked cars and help keep traffic flowing or close the parking lot after a lot is full.

Location

1- Griffins Visitor Center parking lot.
2- Salt Museum parking lot.
3- Liverpool Village parking areas.
* Nichols supermarket parking lot. Will be closed for the event.
* The Retreat and M & T Bank.

Water Stops. 2 on course.

Minimum met, 9 volunteer spots remaining.

Details

Fill water cups, hand water to runners, pick up trash when race is done.
Skills – Able to walk and stand for a 2 hour a.m shift. Someone may have to lift 40 lb. water jugs. Depends on how you receive water, Jugs, bottles, You will need to Check in location –
Water stop location Supervisor Andrew Dionne ,Tracey Vannatta– Water Stop Captain will be at the spot.
Title – Course Workers – needed 6-20 , Depends.
Water stops will be at 2 locations on the course with tables.

Location

* 5 k Turnaround - The important one. Near NG 17 Pole. 21 steps heading south, We have a marking on our running path saying 5 k turn. (Red and white tape in a tree on the side of the course to assist location if needed)

* 5 mile Turnaround- This is a smaller one. At Willow Bay parking lot near bathroom area on the course..

Setup event. At staging and race course.

Help set up first. Then help runners prepare to start by assisting them to the right coral with their expected pace. Duties include light set up of the start line and assisting runners to their proper place.
If helping course key locations could be:

* 5 mile turnaround (Willow Bay parking area near bathrooms)
* High traffic areas for race location

Details

Assist with dog walk flow in key spots so walkers head towards dog path and provide clear direction to participants.
