The Hudson Valley’s favorite autumn tradition returns. Whether you’re using our half marathon as the final "big push" before your fall championship or taking on the 5K for the sheer atmosphere of the Hudson Valley, this is the weekend to be in Rhinebeck.
When the timing is right, the course transforms into a corridor of fire-orange and deep gold. It’s fast, it’s scenic, and it’s the definitive way to experience autumn in Upstate New York.
RACE DAY ESSENTIALS
WHEN: Saturday, September 26th at 8:30 a.m. (5K to begin at 8:45 a.m.) - course support concludes at 12:00 p.m.
WHERE: Starts & ends at The Dutchess County Fairgrounds
Please note that dogs are not allowed at The Dutchess County Fairgrounds. We risk losing this location for our event if you, your friends, or your family ignore the rules set by the Dutchess County Fairgrounds.

FAQs - Read Before Emailing Us!
No, it is not.
The event is held on roads that are open to traffic. Therefore, we are unable to accommodate strollers or dogs. In fact, the Dutchess County Fairgrounds does NOT ALLOW DOGS on its premises. Please leave your furry friends at home on race day, and make sure any friends or family planning to come and support you are aware of this.
All faces and paces are welcome! Just remember that all participants must complete their race (the half marathon or 5K) by 12:00 noon, at which time course support will end.

Yes!
It is unlikely that we would ever make changes to an event based on a forecast. If needed, we may delay the start time in real time if conditions are too dangerous to run in (e.g., thunder and lightning).
Yes, you can!
Yes! If you are interested in switching race distances, please email info@fleetfeetpoughkeepsie.com before 8:00 p.m. on Friday 9/25. If you are dropping down from the half marathon to the 5K, we can switch your race, but we will not be able to issue a refund if there is a price difference after 11:59 p.m. on Saturday 9/5.
Since this is a timed event, bib transfers are strictly prohibited.
Refunds will be issued for cancellations made prior to Sunday 8/23. After that date, participants may defer their registration one time to the following year’s event, with deferrals accepted through Sunday, 9/20. Please email info@fleetfeetpoughkeepsie.com with your deferral request. After 9/20, no deferrals will be offered. Since this is a timed event, bib transfers are strictly prohibited.
