If you are relying on bib pickup at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds on Saturday, 9/26, before the race, we STRONGLY suggest arriving no later than 7:00 a.m., as traffic and parking congestion are expected (carpooling will really help to alleviate this). Bib pickup will end promptly at 8:15 a.m. If you can't arrive at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds by 7:00 a.m., we STRONGLY advise picking up your bib at Fleet Feet Poughkeepsie during the times listed above.
If you registered for the race but do not have your bib before 8:15 a.m. on Saturday, 9/26, you can run the race but will not receive an official finish time, appear in the finisher’s results, or be eligible for age group awards. We understand this may be frustrating, but please don’t take your frustrations out on our team or our volunteers!
Friday, 9/25, Brooks Shakeout

Saturday, 9/26, HOKA Demo

Bib Transfers/Race Switches
This is a reminder that bib transfers are not permitted for this race, meaning you cannot give your bib to someone else.
If you'd like to switch race distances, please email info@fleetfeetpoughkeepsie.com before 8:00 p.m. on Friday, 9/25. Please do this even if you’ve already picked up your bib, as it will affect overall and age group awards. Any race switches after the Saturday deadline must be done in person at the bib pickup tent at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds.
Bib Reminders
-
You may pick up bibs for friends and family. You do not need to call or email ahead of time to confirm. If you pick up multiple bibs, each will have a name. Please make sure everyone receives the correct bib number.
-
Please confirm the race distance (half marathon or 5K), age, and gender are correct on the back of your bib before the race starts, as this affects age-group results.
-
If you pick up your bib in advance, remember to bring it with you on Saturday!
-
Pin bibs to the front of your outermost layer, and keep them visible at all times during the event.
Course Notes
There are no road closures for the 5K or half marathon routes. Both races will have a lead vehicle or motorcycle, along with police traffic support at key intersections, to ensure participants' safety. Road markings will guide you along the routes.
Course support will end at 12:00 p.m.
Water Stops
There will be several water stations on the half marathon course at the following points:
- Water station #1: ~2 miles
- Water station #2: ~4.8 miles
- Water station #3 & #4: ~6.4 miles and ~8.5 miles (same station that runners will pass twice based on the out-and-back part of the course)
-
Water station #5: ~ 10.2 miles
-
Water station #6 & #7: ~ 11.3 miles & ~12.25 miles (same station that runners will pass twice based on the out-and-back part of the course)
There will be one (1) water station on the 5K course approximately 2.5 miles into the route. Both water and Nuun (an electrolyte hydration option) will be available at all stations.
Weather
This event will take place rain or shine, and we will only delay the start time at the last minute if conditions are dangerous, such as thunder and lightning. We generally do not change our events based on forecasts.
Timing/Age Group Awards
Pin your bib to the front outermost layer of clothing. An outer layer over the bib, or a bib pinned to your back, can prevent the chip from reading correctly.
Do not switch race distances without notifying a member of our team, as this causes chaos for age group awards, regardless of pace. If, for any reason, you do not complete your registered race distance as intended, please stop by the timing booth immediately after finishing your race or notify a Fleet Feet team member.
As always, overall and age group awards will be based on a gun start, meaning that awards will be determined by the order in which participants cross the finish line. Screens near the timing booth will show results, including the top 3 overall and age-group finishers. You will also receive a text message with your results if you opted for that option. Overall and age-group awards for the 5K will be available at a table near the finish line starting at 9:30 a.m. and at 10:00 a.m. for the half marathon.
Please DO NOT approach the timing booth to ask about your placement/results unless you do not see them on the screen OR have not received a text message with them if you opted in for that option.
Results will be available here after the race.
Bathrooms
Bathrooms are available onsite near the parking area on Mulberry St. Please refer to the map above and consider the bathroom location if you will be picking up your bib on race day, as there is some distance between the two spots.
There will be two (2) porta-potties along the half marathon course that participants will pass twice on the out-and-back course. These will be at ~6.4 miles and again at ~8.5 miles.

No, it is not.
The event is held on roads that are open to traffic. Therefore, we are unable to accommodate strollers or dogs. In fact, The Dutchess County Fairgrounds does NOT ALLOW DOGS on its premises. Please leave your furry friends at home on race day, and make sure any friends or family planning to come and support you are aware of this.
All faces and paces are welcome! Just remember that all participants must complete their race distance (half marathon or 5K) by 12:00 noon, at which time course support will end.
Yes!
It is unlikely that we would ever make changes to an event based on a forecast. If needed, we may delay the start time in real time if conditions are too dangerous to run (e.g., thunder and lightning).
Yes, you can!
If you're interested in switching race distances, please email info@fleetfeetpoughkeepsie.com before 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, 10/10. If you are dropping down from the half marathon to the 5K, we can switch your race, but we will not be able to issue a refund if there is a price difference after 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, 9/27.
Since this is a timed event, bib transfers are strictly prohibited.
Refunds will be issued for cancellations made before Monday, 9/14. After that day, participants may defer their registration one time to the following year's event. Deferral requests will be accepted through Sunday, 10/4. Please email info@fleetfeetpoughkeepsie.com with your deferral request. After 10/4, no deferrals will be offered.
If you purchased race insurance through Run Signup, please use the following link to file a request for a refund: https://help.runsignup.com/support/solutions/articles/17000073422-claiming-event-insurance.
