All funds raised from the Spirit Run for ALS Hope for Peggy Fort will assist Peggy for much-needed caregivers and other essential equipment as she courageously battles ALS. ALS takes away the freedom to walk, talk, run, laugh, hug, eat, and breathe. Prior to diagnosis, Peggy ran 23 marathons as a charity runner, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for many worthwhile charities. Support Peggy as she has supported others.

The Wave Runners Running Club at College Park Elementary is a volunteer-led club open to students from PreK through 6th Grade. Our goal is to promote fitness, endurance, perseverance, and sportsmanship for these young runners. We participate in events organized by Kids Run the OC, a training program in which students run a cumulative 26.2 miles over the course of 12 weeks. Funds raised by our school will be used to cover the costs of our weekly training and our participation in the Kids Run the OC race on May 3, 2025.

Spirit Run funds raised for Harbor View Elementary will support the development of our school band program. Our new music specialist is already making plans to develop a school band ensemble for 4th-6th grade students. To allow all students the opportunity to participate, Harbor View is working on purchasing instruments students will be able to access on campus. Our goal is to provide every interested 4th-6th grade student with the opportunity to experience the joy of playing an instrument and performing for an audience. With your support, Harbor View Elementary will have band instruments so everyone will be able to make music at school.

Newport Mesa Spirit Run, Inc. (NMSRI) is a 501(c)(3) founded in 2010 to continue the annual Spirit Run. NMSRI is operated by a volunteer Board of Directors dedicated to youth fitness, education, and other youth causes. In addition to presenting Spirit Run, NMSRI's Board is dedicated to providing the opportunity for as many children as possible to participate in Spirit Run. Each year since 2010, NMSRI has donated free event entries and sometimes bus transportation to lower income students in the Newport Mesa Unified School District. We could use your help. Please donate to help provide an underprivileged child a free Spirit Run entry. Thank you!
