What races are available at Spirit Run? Spirit Run hosts mile and 5k races to walk or run for adults, 1/4, 1/2, 1-mile, and 5k races for kids, a 5k Walk and Family Mile for families, and a Dog Mile for humans age 13 and older to run or walk with their dogs. Does Spirit Run offer racing for elite runners? Spirit Run hosts the Elite Mile for men and women who can finish a mile faster than 4:15 and 4:50 for men and women, respectively. Where do I pick up my race number? Packet pickup is available Saturday, March 15th at the location of the Youth & Fitness Expo in Gateway Plaza at 120 Newport Center Drive. When does Spirit Run registration end? Registration is available online up to and including at the event. In person registration is also available at the event beginning at 6:30 a.m. For registration cut off times for each race, visit https://www.newportspiritrun.org/schedule.

Spirit Run is the day before St. Patrick's Day. Will there be St. Patrick's festivities? Spirit Run is celebrating St. Patrick's Day with you with St. Paddy's themed medals and event shirts, giveaways including decorative eyeglasses and headpieces, and even a costume contest. If I am a top finisher in my race, will I win prizes? Spirit Run will award cash prizes in the Elite Mile, Masters Mile, and 5k and a variety of non cash prizes in the Open Mile, 5k, Dog Mile, and in the Youth 5k and Youth 1/4, 1/2, and 1-Mile races. Who presents Spirit Run? Spirit Run is presented by Newport Mesa Spirit Run, Inc. (NMSRI), a 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation with a mission to present Spirit Run, promote youth fitness and provide free event entry to underprivileged students so that everyone can participate, and to donate event net proceeds to participating schools, youth sports programs, and other youth causes.
