After careful consideration, Northern Cincinnati Foundation leadership has made the difficult decision to suspend The Shamrock Shuffle for 2022. Last year’s rescheduled event was held less than five months ago in September and, while we were glad to be back after a pandemic hiatus, attendance and proceeds were a third of recent years. As we take time to reevaluate The Shamrock Shuffle, the Foundation will focus our efforts on impacting the communities we serve and assisting our donors with their charitable goals.
Charity Teams have been an important part of The Shamrock Shuffle’s success. Nonprofit organizations who have participated in The Shuffle are encouraged to contact karen.gibbs@northerncincinnati.foundation for information on 2022 grant opportunities.
To all our participants, sponsors, vendors, and volunteers - thank you for your support of The Shamrock Shuffle over the past 16 years; we look forward to the future of the event!
This year's Shamrock Shuffle will include a special commemoration of the 20th Anniversary of 9/11.
The Northern Cincinnati Foundation Shamrock Shuffle, presented by Advanced Technology Consulting (ATC) is a 5k Race and Community Block Party hosting 5000 attendees on The Square @ Union Centre in West Chester. Proceeds benefit local nonprofits through grants from the Foundation's Community Grants Fund, as well as the many charity teams registered through the Shuffle Gives Back program. Each year the Shamrock Shuffle raises more than $100,000 through the generosity of our participants and event sponsors. The Shamrock Shuffle is a 15-year West Chester/Liberty tradition, bringing the community together for a common cause.
In June 2021, the Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty became the Northern Cincinnati Foundation to better reflect the communities and donors we serve. Our mission is to transform generosity into impact by encouraging, supporting, and facilitating philanthropy to create more vibrant communities throughout northern Cincinnati.
