It is with saddened hearts that the Wyoming Valley Striders have decided to cancel this previously postponed race (Winter’s End 4.5 Mile Run on Sunday, March 22) and the following club races for 2020 due to the current Covid-19 situation:
Runners who pre-registered for the above races will have the option to defer their registration to next year’s corresponding race. No refunds will be issued. We ask for your patience as we contact all entrants and implement the race deferral opportunity.

NEPA is well known for a winter season that loves to hang on, so come out on Sunday, March 22, 2020 to the Wyoming Valley Striders Winter's End Run in an effort to shake off the last of the cold weather blues! We know that the area's weather can vary in late March! Sometimes the race course features a light coating of snow at no extra charge!
Our race features a scenic rolling hills 4.5 mile course in the Lehman area near Penn State, Wilkes-Barre.
The race directors reserve the right to accept or reject any entry.
ONLINE REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT 11:59AM ON FRIDAY, MARCH 20, 2020! PRE/POST REGISTRATION BEGINS AT 9AM ON SUNDAY, MARCH 22. RACE DAY ENTRY FEE IS $20 FOR EVERYONE. ONCE ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES, IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THE VINCE WOJNAR TRIPLE CROWN, YOU WILL NEED TO SIGN UP SEPARATELY FOR EACH RACE IF NOT ALREADY REGISTERED FOR WINTER'S END OR THE SERIES.
Registration on race day is from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM in the Commons on campus. Please register early on race day.
Online registrants can pickup their race packet at the venue on race day.
Entry fee is $20.00 at the venue on race day.
Trophies to the top male and female. Medals to top 3 males and top 3 females in each age group.

We do not recommend the wearing of headphones.
Runners are not allowed to be accompanied by animals.
Baby strollers of any type are not permitted.

-2ND RACE: May 3 (Sun): 46th Annual Cherry Blossom 5 Mile Run/17th Annual Tim Thomas Memorial, 10am, Kirby Park, Wilkes-Barre
-3RD RACE: November 8 (Sun): 7th Annual 20K Run, 9am, Lehigh Gorge State Park, White Haven
Every runner who participates in all three races will receive a commemorative ½ zip tech pullover. Participation means you must at least start the race.
Roads are narrow. No spectoator vehicles allowed on the course during the race. Spectators may view the race from the Start/Finish area and the parking lot areas, and also from the turnaround point near the intersection next to Lake Lehman high school.

Race starts and finishes at the Pennsylvania State University Wilkes-Barre Campus in Lehman PA.
Directions to the Pennsylvania State Wilkes-Barre Campus at Lehman: from the Wilkes-Barre area, take the North Cross-Valley Expressway (Route 309) and proceed north towards Dallas. At the end of the divided highway, turn left at the first traffic light (Hillside Road) and follow the signs to the campus (approx. 5 1/2 miles); from Berwick, follow Route 11 to West Nanticoke and take Route 29 to Route 118. Turn right on Route 118 and follow it until you see the sign for the Pennsylvania State University Campus.
