The 2024 Reading Hospital Road Run, hosted by The Friends of Reading Hospital, will include our standard in-person event distances of 5K and Half Marathon, to be held on Sunday, October 20, 2024.
Half Marathon - 8:00am
The Half Marathon covers a variety of rolling terrain in neighborhoods and parkland surrounding the Reading Hospital, located in West Reading, PA. The race will be chip-timed, and all participants will receive a short-sleeve wicking race shirt (must register by October 2nd to be guaranteed your size), and all finishers will receive a custom race medal. Cash prizes of $250 for 1st place overall, $150 for 2nd place overall, and $75 for 3rd place overall will be awarded in each of the Men's and Women's divisions. Age-group awards will be awarded to the top three male and female half marathon finishers in the following age groups: 19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70+. There is a 3 hour 30 minute cutoff time for the half marathon (11:30am), so runners must maintain a 16-minute-per-mile average pace.
5K - 8:15am
The 5K race will be chip-timed, and all participants will receive a short-sleeve wicking race shirt (must register by October 5th to be guaranteed your size). Cash prizes of $100 for 1st place overall, $50 for 2nd place overall, and $25 for 3rd place overall will be awarded in each of the Men's and Women's divisions. Age-group awards will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70+.
