Yardley Borough Recreation Board presents the 8th Annual Yardley 5K. Run though Bucks County’s beautiful and historic Yardley Borough, along the Delaware River and Delaware Canal towpath.
This race will be chip-timed by SpectaSport's "Contemporary Timing for a Connected World" featuring results kiosks and online results that are updated while the race is in progress.
Race Date: Sunday June 11, 2017 at 8:30 am at Buttonwood Park. Plenty of parking nearby.
First 200 entrants receive a free t-shirt.
Awards: First Place Overall Male and Female, plus Age Groups: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+ (Walkers are welcome in this 5K, but you must finish within 35 minutes to be eligible for age group awards)
Interested in learning to run or getting back into running and looking for a relaxed group to help keep you motivated? Come and join the fun. Walk 2 Run Yardley is a new group hosted by the Yardley Borough Recreation Board to provide weekly training towards the goal of running the Yardley 5k on Sunday, June 11th, 2017 Yardley5k.com
Starting Tuesday, April 4th, the group will meet at 6:00pm for about an hour, beginning in Buttonwood Park for warm-ups and then use the canal path for training, returning to Buttonwood Park for cool down. Bring water, and a towel. Incentives for those that participate.
