What is Pedaling 4 Paige? 
An indoor spinning event now in its 6th year, Pedaling 4 Paige is a great way to have fun and raise funds! Riders sign up to spin for 1 hour in honor of children and families who have been touched by a diagnosis of pediatric cancer and other blood disorders. Proceeds from Pedaling 4 Paige support local pediatric cancer research and patient programs for kids and families fighting cancer at Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital in Syracuse, NY.

How do I participate in Pedaling 4 Paige?
There are a number of ways you can participate in Pedaling 4 Paige 2021:

  • Register to ride on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Elevate Fitness Dewitt
  • Register as a virtual rider – Virtual riders complete their ride on their own during the official virtual period during Saturday, March 20 to Saturday, March 27

How many bikes are there for each session?
Due to New York State government requirements for health club operations, there are just 11 bikes available each session. With 4 sessions, there's a total of 44 spots. If you wish to join us for the live event, register now to reserve your bike!

I am participating in the live event. What can I expect in terms of COVID-19 modifications?
This is very important! We have put changes in place and will be following safe social distancing practices. Here's what you can expect:

  • Staff and Volunteers will wear face masks.
  • Participants are required to wear face masks at ALL TIMES. No bandanas, gaiters, or buffs. Masks only.
  • Every person who visits Elevate Fitness must complete a COVID-19 Health Screening Questionnaire every time they visit.
  • Spin bikes will be sanitized and wiped down between each session.
  • No food will be provided.

Is there a fundraising minimum?
The fundraising commitment is $50 per session if you are participating in the live event. If you are participating in the virtual event, the fundraising commitment has been waived. Every dollar raised stays in Central New York and funds local research and patient programs for kids and families fighting pediatric cancer at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital. 

What is a virtual rider?
As a virtual rider, you have the flexibility to complete your 1 hour spin session at your convenience during the official virtual period during Saturday, March to Saturday, March 27. You can complete your ride using your own indoor spinning bike, outside on a bicycle, or even at your own gym! 

Where does the money go from Pedaling 4 Paige?
The money raised from Pedaling 4 Paige will support current and future pediatric cancer patients and their families in Central New York. Click here for more information.

How do I make a donation?
Thank you for your support! Donations can be made online using your credit/debit card.

What is the deadline to register to participate in the virtual Pedaling 4 Paige?
Online registration will close on Saturday, March 20th at 12:00 PM.

Can I form a team?
Yes! During online registration for Pedaling 4 Paige, you will come to a donation page. Scroll down on this page and you will see 'Become a Fundraiser'. Click on this to set up a new individual fundraiser and to start/join a team. You will able to update your fundraiser goal, create your customized URL, upload an image, and update your personal heading and message that will display on your fundraising page.

Towards the bottom of the page, you will see the option to start/join a team fundraiser. Use the drop down menu under ‘Join a Team Fundraiser’ to start a team fundraiser or join an existing team fundraiser.

Are there fundraising awards?
As we have in the past, we will be awarding prizes for those individuals who raise funds to support Paige’s Butterfly Run and kids fighting pediatric cancer in Central New York. Participants who raise $250+ will receive a 2021 Pedaling 4 Paige Tech Tee

I am not from Central New York; can I still participate?
Yes! Since this year’s event is hybrid, there are zero geographical barriers to participation. We encourage everyone from around the world to join us virtually and help raise critical funds for pediatric cancer patients and their families in Central New York. 

Does Paige's Butterfly Run hold other events?
Yes! In addition to Pedaling 4 Paige, we organize the following events:

  • Paige's Butterfly Run - A family friendly event including a 5K USATF certified race, 3K fitness run/walk, and a Caterpillar Crawl for kids.
  • Clams 4 Cures Clambake - A fun day of clams, BBQ, raffle and great music!
  • Paige's Pajamarama - Schools and businesses in our local communities select a day to wear their pajamas in honor of kids who HAVE to! Paige's Pajamarama is a fun way to raise awareness for childhood cancer.
