2026 PGXC Race Series

September 20 - November 15, 2026
Rochester, NY 13090 US

About Us

Started in 1990, The Pete Glavin Cross Country (PGXC) Series is an annual five-race cross-country series held from September through November across Upstate New York. The series is organized by the Genesee Valley Harriers (GVH) in collaboration with Syracuse Track Club (STC), Checkers Athletic Club, and Finger Lakes Runners Club (FLRC).

More than 15 running clubs participate, bringing together youth, open, masters, and collegiate non-varsity teams for a season of individual, team, and club competition.

One of the things that makes PGXC special is the true club cross-country atmosphere. Clubs turn out in their team colors and gear, creating a picturesque display of color against the backdrop of some of the most beautiful county and state parks in Upstate New York.

From young runners experiencing cross country to open and collegiate athletes competing at the front, and masters runners continuing to race well into their 70s and 80s, PGXC brings generations of runners and clubs together for a fall season of cross-country racing.
