Event Date - November 17, 2018, 9am start
Start/Finish Location - Mount Sequoyah Conference Center, 150 N Skyline Dr, Fayetteville, AR 72701
Onsite Packet Pickup/Registration Info:
A mixture of pavement, gravel and some single track dirt thrown in for good measure. Gravel or Mountain bikes will be the choice. Two distances - 48 and 66 miles. This event has a twist...only the mileages and elevations of road, gravel and dirt will be released early. The course maps will be published at 8:00am the day before the event. You will discover some new terrain and roads that you didn't know existed in NW Arkansas. Great post-race party on top of a hard day in the saddle.
Both courses with TCX files will be released at 8:00 am the day before the event. There will be one aid station and roaming support on the course, but all riders should come prepared to be self-sufficient. Remember that this event is Rules Of The Road and riders should obey all traffic rules.
To participate in awards, a rider must do the following:
There will be four KOM/QOM on each course. The four segments will be totaled with a handicap scoring system similar to the R.A.P.T.O.R. Cycling Relay which will be applied to the total times. Top three NET times for both courses will receive special awards. The top Gross time for both male and female will be recognized for each course as well.
Finisher Medal for all who complete the course. The inaugural medal will be a one-of-a-kind belt buckle!
Post-race food and drink for all competitors will greet you at the finish line. There will also be a place to take a shower. We suggest bringing friends and family as we will have food and drink available for purchase at the finish line. There will be games and a bouncy house if weather permits. We're testing some new technology, so we hope to have regular course updates which we can announce throughout the ride.
WHAT ARE THE RULES?:
There's not many, but riders must observe the Rules of the Road. Stop at all traffic signs/lights, ride to the right, don't impede traffic, Leave No Trace and enjoy the day. And no personal support following you on the course...be self-sufficient. There may be a couple of other rules to add, but this is gravel!
