Event Details:

New for 2019:

  • A third distance has been added - Group X. 25 to 35 miles.
  • The final finish option.  We are keeping the 1.4 miles of single track, but now a competitor will have the option to ride an alternate section (which is paved) to the finish.  Those that choose the single track will receive a time bonus (reduced ride time).

Three different courses - Group X (25 to 35 miles), Group XX (45 to 55 miles) and Group XXX (65 to 75 miles).  A mixture of pavement, gravel and some single track dirt. Gravel or Mountain bikes will be the choice. This event has a twist...only the mileages and elevations of road, gravel and dirt will be released early.  The exact course maps will be published at 8:00 am the day before the event. For many, you will discover some new terrain and roads that you didn't know existed in NW Arkansas.  Great post-race party on top of a hard day in the saddle.

Total Time for the first place male and female in each distance will be recognized and will be taken at the finish line.  Remember that regardless of circumstances...Rules of the Roads apply when trying to be the fastest.  There will be 2 to 4 KOM/QOM on each course. The segments will be totaled with a handicap scoring system similar to the R.A.P.T.O.R. Cycling Relay which will be applied to the total times.  Top three NET times for both courses will receive special awards (this will be calcualted post-event and posted). The top Gross time for both male and female will be recognized for each course.

POST-RACE FESTIVITIES:
Post-race food and drink for all competitors will greet you at the finish line. There are places to take showers. We suggest bringing friends and family as we will have food and drink available for purchase at the finish line. There will be games and a bouncy house if weather permits. We're testing some new technology, so we hope to have regular course updates which we can announce throughout the ride.

WHAT ARE THE RULES?:
There's not many, but riders must observe the Rules of the Road.  Stop at all traffic signs/lights, ride to the right, don't impede traffic, Leave No Trace and enjoy the day.  And no personal support following you on the course...be self-sufficient.  There may be a couple of other rules to add, but this is gravel!
