Back The Blue K-9 Force became a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit in March 2016 after recognizing a critical need for lighter-weight, better-fitting protective vests for working police dogs.

In just six weeks, we raised enough funds to provide new vests for four patrol dogs with the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office and two Greenwood Police Department K-9s.

Since then, generous donations have allowed us to equip 17 K-9s across five law enforcement agencies, as well as cover the cost of essential safety gear requested by K-9 handlers and medical care for injured Hero dogs.

According to the National Police Dog Foundation, more than 80% of police department budgets are allocated to salaries, leaving limited funding for K-9 units. That’s where community support makes a life-saving difference.

Back The Blue K-9 Force is entirely volunteer-run, and 100% of net proceeds go directly toward protecting and caring for law enforcement K-9s.
