Event Setup High Priority

Details

Your role is to help staff unload and set up equipment for areas such as registration tables, volunteer tables, set signage, auction tables, stage, and kids' area. This shift begins at 6am.

Kid's Fun Zone High Priority

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Your role will be to help where needed with set-up and tear down of inflatable activities and any yard games. You will also need to be answering questions, handling crowd control, interacting with the children and maintaining cleanliness of the area.

Parking

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Your role will be to direct traffic to the parking lots on the East and South sides of the building. This includes vendor unloading area as well as public parking. The shift will begin at 6:00am until 10:00am. You will need to dress warmly, if necessary.

Floaters/Runners High Priority

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

Greeters High Priority

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Your role is to greet participants as they arrive at the event, welcoming them to the event and answering any questions. You will be given an overview of the event space upon arrival. You will need to arrive at 7:30am until 11:00am.

Vendor Check-in/Assistance High Priority

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

6:00am - 10:00am: Your role is to check vendors in, answer any questions that should arise as well as assist the vendor with booth setup and unloading, if necessary. You must also ensure that their waiver is signed.

9:30am-1:00pm: Your role is to be in the vendor area to answer any questions that should arise as well as assist the vendor with booth teardown and loading, if necessary.

Volunteer Check-in High Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Your role is to check in the volunteer, give them their shirt, answer any questions that they may have and possibly show them to the location of their position. You will also need to keep the tables stocked with snacks and drinks and the room clean and tidy.

Participants and volunteers will be allowed to leave valuables in the volunteer room. We need two people to safeguard these items continuously throughout the day.

Registration High Priority

Race Course High Priority

Details

We need your help in the following areas:

Set up: You will need to set up the arch at the start/finish line, set tables for awards and set up signage along the course. Shift starts at 7 am with the face/walk beginning at 8:00.

Course Monitor: Your role will be to keep spectators off the course and make sure it is cleared of any debris throughout the race.

Crowd control: You will be responsible for directing the runners and walkers to a marked off area at the starting line for each event.

Finish line: Your role is to hand a medal to each participant along with a goodie bag as they pass the finish line.

Along the route: Cheer! Cheer! Cheer! We have cowbells, signs, balloons and whistles to help you cheer them on!

Water Station High Priority

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Your role will include setting up your water station (table and cups), filling coolers, restocking water during the event, passing out water cups and cleaning up the area after the last participant has passed through.

Live and Silent Auction High Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Live Auction: 10am-12pm
Check-out table: You will check out the winning bidders and give them a receipt for the purchase. A seated job.

Wrapping: You will bubble wrap items for travel, if necessary.

Spotters in the crowd: As a bid is won, your role will be to take the auction item and the winning bidder to the check-out table.

Helping the auctioneer: Your role will be to help the auctioneer maintain control and answer questions.

Record keeper: You will need to keep an accurate hand-written record of every item that has been won and purchased. (A seated job).

Security: You will be responsible your entire shift for protecting all auction items.

Silent Auction:
Your role will be to help set up the baskets and items on the tables with clipboards, bid sheets and pens. (7:30am)

Floater: Answering any questions that the participants may have or contact one volunteer for the answer.

Spotters As a bid is won (11:00am, at close of auction), your role will be to take the auction item and the winning bidder to the check-out table for payment.

Security: You will be responsible for protecting all auction items.

Tear down and Clean up

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Your role will be to help tear down and load equipment, as well as take down signs, registration tables, volunteer tables, auction tables, stage, and remove all trash. An important part of this position is to ensure the area is thoroughly cleaned when leaving.
