Relay Teams
Do you have a Relay team and are ready to go...great, please read on! Don't have a team but would like to be on one? No worries! Please email Dawn Evans at Dawn.Evans@Robson.com and let her know what segment of the race you would like to do and she will do her best to find you other members to complete your team!
Relay teams can consist of 2 or 3 team members. For 2-member teams,1 person must complete any 2 of the segments of the event, while the other person completes the third segment. Three-member teams will each complete one segment of the event. At packet pick up, your team will receive their assigned swim time and a timing band (chip).
The relay team swimmer will start the event with the timing chip on their left ankle (it will be a velcro strap) and swim/walk the 400 yards in the pool (timing chips are waterproof). The swimmer will then proceed to the transition area where they will transfer the timing chip to the left ankle of their biker (swimmers should be sure to bring some shoes to put on after the swim to get to transition). Once the biker returns to transition, the timing chip will be transferred one last time to the left ankle of the runner/walker. The timing chip will record overall time from when the swimmer enters the pool until the runner/walker crosses the finish line. Relay members don’t have to stay in the transition area during the entire race, but they must be there to transfer the timing chip to the next member of their team before they head out to their leg of the event. Start time and finish time will be recorded to determine race results and award eligibility. There will also be an award for Best Relay Team Name….so put those thinking caps on and get creative!
HOW TO REGISTER YOUR RELAY TEAM (these steps apply to the first person of your team to register; see below if you are the 2nd or 3rd person to register):
Have one of your relay team members go online and create a RunSignup account. After they have done this, use the steps below. Note: if you need to go back a screen during the registration process, click on the word "Back" at the bottom of the screen.
Select "Triathlon Relay" from the two options on the screen
Click Continue
Read the first waiver regarding the triathlon and scroll to the bottom of the information
Type your first and last name in the electronic signature box and type the date just like it is shown above the date box
Do this same process for the Model/Talent Release Form - being sure to read to the bottom, then electronically sign and date
Click Continue
Click Create a New Group/Team (the box should turn dark purple when you click on it)
Under the Group/Team Name box enter your team name
Click Continue
Select your t-shirt size option
Enter your Emergency Contact Name
Enter your Emergency Contact Phone Number
Answer the question regarding how you heard about the event (you can select more than one option)
Click the appropriate box under the question "What segment of the relay will you complete?" If you are a two-member relay team and you are doing two segments of the event, click the appropriate boxes
If you selected swim/walk, go to the next question and let us know if you will swim or walk in the pool (click on the arrow on the right of this box to see the choices)
Select Swim or Walk
In the next box, please provide your estimated swim/walk time (in minutes). You can just enter the number like 10, 18, 20 or whatever you think your time will be. You can also update this time by emailing Carolyn Vahrenwald at cvahrenwald@msn.com by March 5, 2025
After you have entered your time, click Continue
Note: If you are doing the bike or run/walk segment of the event, you will not see the swim questions
The last screen you will see is the payment screen. Please provide your credit card information, enter your initials in the box regarding the refund policy, and click on the Confirm Payment box. You should receive an email shortly after you click this box confirming your registration.
Note: If you are the first person on your team to register, you will see a total of $75.00 + tax = $82.28. The first person to register will be responsible for the full payment and your team members will pay you their appropriate portion of the registration price.
IF YOU ARE THE 2ND OR 3RD PERSON TO REGISTER FOR YOUR RELAY TEAM, SEE BELOW:

Enter your initials in the box regarding the refund policy and click on the Complete Registration box. You should receive an email shortly after you click this box confirming your registration.
And that's it -- your team is registered!
