Let's Run Together

Lace up, show up, and begin your journey into motion picture magic!  Complimentary Screenland 5K workouts will be held on Sundays at 3 pm at Culver City High School track in January, sponsored by Midwest Roofing.

Wear comfortable clothes and running shoes, advises trainer David Winslow. Training sessions will encompass goal-setting, stretching, warm-ups, jogging, and cool-downs, said Winslow, a legacy Screenland 5K runner and multiple age-group marathon winner. Personal trainer Craig Schoenbaum said the workouts are designed to improve strength, flexibility, and stamina.

Follow Winslow's tips in the Screenland 5K TRAINING GUIDE.

The "Sofa to Screenland 5K" training program is a welcoming community where safety and support is everyone's finish line. Accomplished running coaches David Winslow, Craig Schoenbaum, Hamid Rostamian and Culver Palms YMCA staff will lead free training sessions at the Culver City High School Olympic track, helping you complete your 3.1-mile adventure through cinematic wonder on February 28 in good health. "As a flat, fun, and family-oriented hometown event around the studios, the Screenland 5K is an easy entry to an active lifestyle," said Winslow.
