Follow the yellow brick road through the Heart of Screenland, tracing the footsteps of iconic movie and TV stars and passing the very spots where award‑winning scenes were filmed. The 11th annual Screenland 5K rolls out the red carpet with movie‑inspired visual and performing arts for all ages—plus a show‑stopping “Love and Romance” costume contest. Flash your finisher's medal at the paparazzi and enjoy the health and fitness expo.

Join the Love Crew
Create a team or hop onto one when you sign up, and bring the "Love and Romance" theme to life on race day! Pace leaders from the Culver City Women’s Running Club will carry signs to help you and your team stay on track. Largest and most creative teams win prizes.
Make Your Grand Entrance
Suit up as your favorite screen character and strut your stuff in the “Love and Romance” Costume Contest on Race Day, Feb. 28, starting at 8:00 a.m., with finals at 8:20 a.m. True love not guaranteed, but dramatic entrances encouraged.
Munchkins on the Move
Your young screen stars will follow the yellow brick road to the Emerald City, cheered on by characters in the exciting Munchkin Dash. Everyone receives a race shirt and medal. Ages up to 4 years sprint 100 meters, followed by 7 and under (400 meters), 12 and under (1K), and up to 17 years (1.5K).
Prepare for your Close-Up
"As a flat, fun, and family-oriented hometown event around the studios, the Screenland 5K promotes a healthy and active lifestyle," said trainer David Winslow, a legacy Screenland 5K runner and distance race champion. "We will help you prepare for the big race."
Complimentary workouts for walkers and runners of all abilities will be conducted in January and February, sponsored by Midwest Roofing.
Wear comfortable clothes and running shoes, Winslow advises. Co-Screenland 5K trainer Craig Schoenbaum said the workouts improve strength, flexibility, and stamina.

Legacy Medals
Each time you complete a consecutive Screenland 5K, you'll receive a finisher‑medal replica that attaches to a custom plaque. This year's Legacy Runner medal features a cinematic “Love and Romance” icon, joining past classics--Clapboard, Projector, Star, Curtains, Film Canister, Popcorn, Megaphone, Director’s Chair, Masks, and 3D Glasses. Keep your streak going to build a full cinematic set—an exclusive tribute to our Legacy Runners.
Race Walks the Walk
The past few Screenland 5Ks have collectively raised over $40,000 in funds, services, and rebates for local non-profits and awarded $20,000 in honorariums to visual and performing artists, showcasing the community's talent and generosity. Donate here.
Classic Cars & Stars
Culver City films have earned Oscars or Emmys every single year for a century. This year’s course celebrates that legacy with classic roadsters and cast members dressed as stars from award‑winning films and TV shows—many echoing our “Love and Romance” theme. Explore a century of Culver City winners filmed along the course in the Points of Movie Lore curated by Screenland 5K's Creative Director Lori Escalera.
Pedal into Screenland
Kids can bike the course with Walk ’n Rollers pros and the CCPD before the big race! Meet at the Screenland 5K starting line at Ivy Station at 7:15 a.m. on race day. Riders must wear helmets and stay on the designated route with course leaders. Enjoy the Health and Fitness Expo right after.
Your Virtual Path to Stardom
If you will be busy polishing your Academy Awards acceptance speech on race morning, you can still join the fun by signing up for the Screenland 5K Virtual Run. Complete your 3.1-mile journey at a time and place that fits your schedule. We'll set aside your shirt, race bib, and finisher's medal (subject to avail.).
