Show Must Go On
Visual and performing artists will entertain Screenland 5K guests with music, artwork, and acts that pay homage to a century of cinematic vintage, velvet & valor, as seen in the motion picture map. "Prepare to be inspired and enriched in this morning of health and fitness--a kaleidoscope of color, sound, sights, learning, friendship, and pleasure," said Lori Escalera, Screenland 5K's Creative Director.
Meet Me at the Expo
Get your race packet, enjoy attractions, and make new friends in the Screenland 5K Health and Fitness Expo at Ivy Station. Early Sunday arrival is recommended, as free parking at Ivy Station will be limited. Consider Metro, bus, or bike.
Pace Setter
An antique Culver City police car will pace the Screenland 5K, earning funds for the local police officers' association for each block it goes. "It's a gamble," said retired Culver City Building Maintenance Supervisor Steve Newton, who rebuilt the 1930s-era Model A crime fighter 20 years ago.
Vintage Acts
Your 3.1-mile adventure retraces the steps of classic stars and directors in the Heart of Screenland through visual and performing arts.
Munchkin Dash
Aspiring movie stars up to age 17 can embark on an enchanting journey to the Emerald City. Organized by age in distances up to a mile, the young sprinters will receive an official shirt and a finishers' medal. Screen characters will cheer on the star performers. View Munchkin Dashers in action!
Fight or Flight?
Can Culver City firefighters pedal the department's unwieldy five-seat bicycle down the yellow brick road for charity? "We never know what it will do," said Culver City Fire Dept. Battalion Chief Ron Kohlhepp with a smile. Pictured (from left) are firefighters Cameron Soden, Matt McCormick, Doug Furano, Brett Nagel, and Joe LaRiccia.

Can Mayor Retake Crown?
Outgoing Mayor Dan O'Brien, the 2025 Screenland 5K Grand Marshal, will attempt to regain his first-ever divisional title in 2024 after missing last year's race while recovering from a leg injury. His 2024 victory was even more noteworthy because he had to remove his stage costume from the race's opening act and jump into the event after the starting gun sounded.
Play Streets
Celebrate 100 years of vintage, velvet & valor on Play Streets! Enjoy the car-free environment, 7:00-8:20 a.m. The activity supports Culver City's efforts to “activate” public spaces for all.
