Watermelon Crew
After an accurate course and keeping everyone safe, watermelon takes the next place in our "gotta have it" list to make this race a success!
Your Equipment
• Plastic tablecloths
• Aluminum trays (to make mini-fridges, see below)
• Aluminum foil
• cooler with 40# of ice
• Jugs of water to rinse melons
• Bussing tub for rinse station
• Paper towels
• Knives
This job starts before sunrise to get the melons cleaned, sliced, and chilling on ice before the race even starts!
Per the site plan below, your station will be at the rear of the delivery truck and will consist of five 6'-tables. One table on the interior for cutting, and the exterior tables for serving. The finish set up team will create a chute that will direct runners from the finish past the medals, water and finally to you to for that perfect slice!
