About the Staging Area at the Annex at the Mercado San Agustin
We're excited about bringing the TMC A-Mountain Half-Marathon and 4-Miler back to the downtown area. This will be the first major running event staged at the Annex at the Mercado San Agustin, called the MSA Annex. The shops and eateries at the MSA Annex are housed beautifully inside modified shipping containers. The containers, designed by Tucson Architect Paul Weiner, are architecturally compelling and modern in Nature. The juxtaposition of the Spanish Colonial style Mercado San Agustin and new modern Annex together create a dynamic experience as seen in great cities around the world.
Food, drinks and other fun post-race activities to celebrate your accomplishments. After the race, chillax with a Westbound beverage and celebrate your accomplishment:
- $10 off! Jose from Petroglyphs is offering $10 off any purchase - tell them you ran the race, bring your number, wear your race shirt to their emporium near the Annex from now through the end of November.
- Race Day Dollar Off! On race morning Westbound is offering all participants dollar off a range of morning drinks. Westbound is part of the Tap & Bottle family of curated bottle shops, offering a wide selection of beer, wine, cider, seltzers, hard kombucha, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages.

PARKING: There is plenty of nearby free street parking, but please do not block driveways, do not park in red zones, do not park in permitted spots, and be mindful of all traffic and parking laws -- we don't want you to get in the way of the neighbors and we don't want you to get a ticket!
In terms of on-site parking, on October 11th we were made aware that the Mercado District will charge $5 per vehicle to park in the dirt lots adjacent to the Mercado. If you choose to park in the Mercado lots, please allow enough time to navigate parking and follow the instructions of Black Knight Security as they direct vehicles to the appropriate parking lanes.
