Join us for the Lake Grapevine Runners and Walkers signature fall event, our 15th Annual "Double Trouble" 5K and 10K on Saturday, October 25, 2014. Lake Grapevine Runners and Walkers is a diverse group of people from all walks of life and fitness levels. From beginners to elite runners, you’ll see us weekends running and walking the trails around Lake Grapevine in Texas.
The Double Trouble races wind through the beautiful trails around Lake Grapevine, combining tree canopies with breathtaking views of the lake. The 5K and 10K courses are USATF certified and will be well marked on race day. For a course map and direction to the start, log on to runnersandwalkers.com.
In keeping with the Double Trouble theme, we will be including a Kids K and 2K fun run this year. We will also be offering a "C25K" Couch to 5K program with this race.
We are using an IPICO chip timing system powered by Race Director software. The chips are designed to be attached to your shoe and are reliable as long as the chip is below your knee. Please remember to return your chip after the race.
LGRAW extends an open invitation to runners and walkers of all abilities to come out and join us for our weekend runs and walks every Saturday and Sunday starting at 7:00 A.M. at our Clubhouse at Oak Grove Park.

In addition to age group medals, we will be presenting cash prizes for the overall male and female winners of the 5K, 10K, and the combined "15K."
Cash awards will be as follows:
"15K" (Combined 5K and 10K time) -- $200
10K -- $150
5K -- $100.
There will be no duplication of cash prizes -- one prize per individual. Prizes will be awarded in the order above ("15K", 10K, 5K), and if the winner of a race has already received a cash prize, the next finisher will receive the prize. Cash prizes will be based on "gun" time.

You may want to size up for a comfortable fit. You are welcome to choose either the women's or men's/unisex shirt.
We will do our best to estimate the number of shirts needed for the event, but cannot predict the exact sizes needed for late registrants. To ensure that you receive a shirt in your desired size, please register before September 30. Registrations submitted after this date will receive whatever remaining sizes are available.
Due to the tremendous response to this race, we have already reordered tech shirts once, and we will run out of adult shirts when we have about 525 registrants. Please register soon to make sure you get one!
Provided we have not met our 1,000 race participant cap, race day registration will be available at the race site beginning at 6:30 AM. Race day registration closes at 7:45 AM.

In order to provide on-site first aid by Baylor Sports Care we are required to share race participant information with the provider. We will share your name, date of birth and mailing address. If you would prefer that Lake Grapevine Runners and Walkers not share your information with our race day medical provider, please email the race director at firstname.lastname@example.org to opt out of the information sharing. Baylor Sports Care assures us that they will not use your personal information for marketing purposes. However, you may receive their mailings as part of their marketing campaigns, but your address was obtained from other means, not as part of our race participant database.
Persons who wish to participate in both races will need to register using the combined 5K and 10K event listed. Competing in both races adds $5 to the single race price.
Please do not combine race discounts. Only one discount (coupon code or RAW membership discount) allowed per entry.
