Deafinitely Not Different 5k and Fun Run is a run/walk that benefits students who attend Plano Regional Day School Program for the Deaf.
Your participation could...
- help feed a family so that they can attend an Information Fair to learn more about deafness and resources,
- fund a field trip for our preschoolers to pick up new vocabulary from real life experiences,
- provide entry into competitions with kids across the country for our teens,
- buy books for our middle schoolers to use for Battle of the Books,
- and provide extra learning materials for our students and families to use.
These activities are spread out throughout the year. Regardless of when they take place, YOU get to help us create memories that last a lifetime!
Plano Regional Day School Program for the Deaf provides services for over 500 families of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in Collin County, Richardson, and Coppell. Help us provide language rich opportunities to our babies all the way up to graduating Seniors!
A shirt is included with registration! Volunteers also get a shirt!

Where is event parking?
We will be at Clark Stadium (6600 Stadium Drive, Plano TX). Enter through the North entrance off of Seabrook.
Will We Have Medals This Year?
Our goal is to get back to the amazing event we had before COVID. IF we get enough runners, and IF medals aren't back ordered, we will have them!
When is Packet Pick Up?
Packet Pick Up will happen the evening of March 27 and 28. Enter the west side of Vines HS from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm.
Where is the Fun Run?
The Fun Run happens on the East side of Clark Stadium. We'll have it marked.
Can I register the day of the event?
Of course! However, we cannot guarantee that you will get the correct size shirt. Shirts will be available until we run out.

Will there be things for kids to do?
Of course!! In previous years, we have had big trucks, a helicopter landing, and a petting zoo. This year will have some fun stuff too!
Do I have to run?
No way! You can if you want though. :)
Race T-shirt
Every effort will be made to provide shirts as they appear in the photo.
- General Participant shirts will be grey with a black design.
- Parent shirts will be black with a red design.
- Volunteer shirts will be red with a black design.
Volunteer Shirt
Volunteer shirts will be short sleeved. This year they will be red to match the color scheme! Volunteer shirts are free and available until we run out.
Parent Shirts
We are SO excited to see our parents at the event! If you answered "yes" to the question about being a parent in the program, you will receive a Black shirt with a red design.
