The ADAPTIVE SPLASH & DASH race provides athletes of all abilities who may not have a bike or do not feel comfortable on a bike in a competition setting the opportunity to participate in the event.
The ADAPTIVE SPLAH & DASH is limited to 50 participants. Once we have reached the maximum number of participants, no additional participants will be allowed to register.
To be eligible for the Paratriathlon division, a participant must meet the following criteria:
Parents of Adaptive Splash & Dash participants who need assistance in transition MUST be registered as event volunteers to gain access to the transition area during the event. A volunteer position has been created for this dedicated purpose. We will have crew and volunteers available to assist athletes but one-on-one assistance will not be provided by the race crew.
The ADAPTIVE SPLASH & DASH will only be offered at the Sunday event this year. See the SCHEDULE OF EVENTS page for additional details.
The ADAPTIVE SPLASH & DASH course will follow the same route as the Paratriathlon minus the bike; a 125-meter swim and a 1-mile run. Athletes will use the same start line, transition, and finish line as the triathlon. See the COURSE page for additional details.
All finishers will receive a finisher's medal at the finish line. There are no awards for the ADAPTIVE SPLASH & DASH.
