The Governor’s Cup Road Race encourages participation by elite runners of all ages and both genders. We seek to assemble highly competitive fields for the Half-Marathon, 5 Kilometer, and the Main Street Mile events.

Athletes who are interested in receiving invitations to compete in the 2026 Governor’s Cup Road Race should contact Katie Miller, Event Manager 

Cash awards will be presented to runners in the following categories in the Half-Marathon.

• Top 3 overall finishers for both Male and Female: $1,000, $750, $500
• Top three masters finishers for both Male and Female: $400, 200, $100
• Top three grandmasters finishers for both Male and Female: $200, $250, $100

• Cash awards will be presented to runners in the following categories in the 5K.
• Top 3 overall finishers for both Male and Female: $500, $300, $200
• Top three masters finishers for both Male and Female: $200, $150, $100
• Top three grand masters finishers for both Male and Female: $150, $100, $50

Cash awards will be presented to runners in the following categories in the Main Street Mile

• Top 5 overall finishers for both Male and Female: $500, $400, $300, $200 and $100

Total Prize Purse: $10,600

**If an athlete should qualify for prize money in both the Overall and Masters  division, they will collect whichever prize money award is larger, and not both. If such an instance occurs, the next athlete in the division will move up one spot and collect the prize vacated by the first runner.

Awards will also be given to the top three overall finishers in each age category: 19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 54-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 and 80+.
