PARTICIPANT GUIDE
WELCOME TO THE GREAT PUMPKIN RUN!
We’re so glad you could join us! Please read through all the Participant Guide tabs so you're prepared for a great race day experience!
QUICK TIPS & REMINDERS
-The event will be held at Bloomsbury Farm (3260 69th St. Atkins, IA 52206) on Saturday, September 21st.
-Please plan to arrive by 7:30 AM. If you wait until after 7:30 AM, you will face heavy traffic heading to the farm.
-Parking will be on-site and free. Space is limited so carpooling is advised. Please note, if it rains, the lots will be muddy!
-All participants need to be ready to line up at the start line by 8:45 AM. We will be sending off Corral A at exactly 9AM, with other corrals leaving every few minutes after. Nobody will be permitted to start after the final corral begins.
-The number one question we receive is 'When should we arrive?' We advise arriving by 7:30 AM. The closer to race time you arrive, the likelihood of lines for packet pick-up, parking, restrooms, etc. increases. If you wait until after 7:30 AM to arrive, expect heavy traffic and long lines at packet pick-up.
-Friends and family are welcome to join you for the morning at the farm. The farm does have it's regular admission for those not signed up for the race. Friends and family joining you can pay farm admission of $12.95 + tax for individuals who are 3 years of age and older at the admission gate.

-For the safety of all participants, strollers and/or wagons are not permitted on the course. They are welcome at the farm as spectators!
-If you are a participant who wants to use a backpack during the race - please take note that we only allow CLEAR backpacks, all others are prohibited.
