All results will be based on chip time for 2020. This includes overall and masters results. Age group results have normally been based on chip time.
The race will have a rolling start from 8:30 AM until 10:30 AM. Runners can start any time during that period. All cut off times will still be enforced, so runners who anticipate a pace close to the cutoff times should start early. Faster runners are encouraged to start later. Cooperation on this will allow for a less congested start line and the ability to more easily maintain social distancing.
Two aid stations on the course, each passed multiple times, will provide fluids, sports drinks, and carbohydrate/protein snacks. To limit the race participant and volunteer contact aid stations will be managed as follows:
The race starts at 8:30 AM with a rolling start ending at 10:30 AM with a time cutoff at 4:30 PM a limit of 8 hours for official finish. Runners must reach Aid Station 6 (22 miles) by 2 PM and Aid Station 7 (25 miles) by 2:45 PM. These cutoffs are strictly enforced. No official finish will be given if runners do not exit these Aid Stations by these times. Runners who anticipate a pace close to the cutoff times should plan to start earlier and faster runners are asked to start later to avoid a crowded start line and maintain distancing as best as possible.
From I-64, take Northampton Boulevard (Route 13) to the Shore Drive exit; turn right and continue on Shore Drive and continue as it turns into Atlantic Ave. Turn right on 64th Street and continue into the park and to the end of 64th Street at the Narrows boat ramp area.
Packet pickup will be held only on race day morning starting at 7:30 AM. Because there will be a rolling start beginning at 8:30 AM and ending at 10:30 AM there is sufficient time for runners to pick up their bib and shirt. Runners who anticipate a pace close to the cutoff times should pick up their bib earlier to allow for an earlier start. Faster runners are encouraged to pickup their bib a bit later to avoid a crowded pick up area.
All official finishers will receive an award. The following overall and age group awards will be presented: (1) First three overall male and female finishers; (2) First three overall male and female masters finishers; (3) First age 30-39 male and female finishers; (4) First age 40-49 male and female finishers; (5) First age 50-59 male and female finishers; (6) First age 60 and above male and female finishers.
