Supporting patients who have financial needs
The Heritage Classic 5K Run/Walk is the leading fundraising event for the Hope Fund, with more than $115,000 raised to support our patients.
The Mayo Clinic Hope Fund assists patients and family members in financial need, providing support for costs such as food, lodging and transportation while receiving care at any Mayo Clinic location. The Mayo Clinic Hope Fund was established and named by Mayo employees who want to give back to patients in need.
Requests for assistance from the fund are managed by Medical Social Services staff at all Mayo locations. Funds are distributed to patients at all Mayo Clinic sites. In addition to the real-time financial support, the Hope Fund provides patients and their families with peace of mind – a key aspect in the healing process.
