EVENT FAQ
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
The Heritage Classic is open to all Mayo Clinic and Mayo Clinic Health System employees, students, retirees, contractors, volunteers and their families. Runners and walkers of all abilities and ages are welcome.
WHERE DO PROCEEDS GO?
Proceeds support a great cause: the Mayo Clinic Hope Fund, created to help patients and families in financial need, providing assistance for indirect, unanticipated costs such as food, lodging and transportation while receiving care at any Mayo Clinic location.
HOW DO I GET A SHIRT?
Register by September 15 to receive your shirt before October 1 to have while running/walking your 5K. All registrations after September 15 packets may arrive after the start of the virtual event. All shirts will be mailed to home address.
CAN DOGS PARTICIPATE?
Dogs are allowed to participate in this year's virtual race. You will reap the benefits of outdoor activity, they will get a long run/walk. Share your photos on the Photos page.
ARE REFUNDS ALLOWED?
Because this is a fundraiser, refunds will not be allowed.
WHAT DOES THE TSHIRT LOOK LIKE?
WHAT IS THE SPOTIFY PLAYLIST?
Participants can upload songs to the Spotify app, a music playlist platform. Search for Heritage Classic 5K Run/Walk playlist and add a favorite song to pump you up for the event.
