Aid Station teams or "Hydration Heroes" as we like to say, serve a critical role - preparing countless cups of water and electrolytes to keep our beloved runners and walkers hydrated.

Teams are strongly encouraged to up their aid station game by adding silly or motivational signs, dressing up (think matching shirts, hats or themed attire…whatever you want), playing music, cheering, etc.

Each aid station team should have 10+ members, but if you have less than that, we can pair you up with another team. Don’t let small numbers stop you from participating. This would be great for group engagement and bonding.

The Finish Line Aid Station team or "Hydration Heroes" as we like to say, distribute countless water bottles and cups of Gatorade to help hydrate runners at the end of their race.

Teams are strongly encouraged to up their aid station game by adding congratulatory or silly signs, dressing up (think matching shirts, hats or themed attire…whatever you want) and giving high-fives.

An aid station team should have 10+ members, but if you have less than that, we can pair you up with another team. Don’t let small numbers stop you from participating. This would be great for group engagement and bonding.

If you have an excess of 10 volunteers – no worries, we can use the extra hands! We could use assistance with handing out medals, helping with participant management and more.

Large Group Bag Stuffing High Priority

This volunteer task is full.

Details

When participants attend Packet Pickup on Friday, June 2, they will receive their shirt, bib, safety pins and fliers. This doesn’t magically happen. We need dedicated individuals and awesome small groups, to help us stuff a whopping 4,000+ participant bags!

Join us for a few evening hours, stuff some bags and receive a shirt and dinner on us.

Details

A first impression is a lasting impression! Put a smile on your face and help us distribute packets to a few thousand runners. There are two shifts to choose from, 11:30am-3:30pm & 3:00pm-7:00pm. Please consider the afternoon/evening shift as that’s the most challenging for us to fill.
In this role, you'll get to interact with our lovely and loyal Sunburst-ers. They’ll very much appreciate your help, kindness and enthusiasm and it’s a fun kick-off to race weekend!

Details

Assist the race team with morning operations. These tasks may vary from distributing packets, providing water to participants, helping in the start line chute, answering questions (we’ll give you a guide to reference), handing out medals, helping with post-race activities and celebrations, leading a game for kids, cleaning up, etc.

***If your preferred volunteer task is handing out packets - you will likely need to arrive early, more like 5:30 am as runners start showing up early!

Course Marshal High Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Want the undying gratitude of thousands of runners and walkers? This is the job for you! Play some fun music, wave, give high-fives and fist bumps, use our signage to point runners in the right direction, etc.

These are often challenging positions for us to fill, but they shouldn’t be…you’ll be inspired by all the dedicated runners and walkers that you have the pleasure of guiding. And you’ll love seeing them; they typically range in age from 6 to 86. It’s awesome!

Bike Patrol

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.
