Lifeguards

Details

A current Red Cross or YMCA certification is required.

This is a paid position.

Each lifeguard will receive up to $120 for this event: $40 to commit to being available on June 15, $40 to commit to being available for the rain date of June 16, and an additional $40 if the race happens (weather holds out) and you are there to guard for it on that day.
Payment will be mailed to you after the swim.

Roles for land-based volunteers include swimmer check-in, swim cap and timing chip distribution, and staffing the bag check.

Kayakers

Details

Kayakers will support swim safety in either a single or double kayak paired with a lifeguard.

Kayakers must be comfortable padding in open water, including in choppy conditions.
