If you are an early bird, this is the shift for you! :-) We need volunteers to help set-up on race day (Oct. 29th).

Location

Meet at the MSU Stadium Parking lot at 7:30am. Please bring any shovels with you (in case of snow!) We will be setting up cones/directions for the race and some decorations at the start/finish and along the race.

Clean-up (11:30am-12:30pm)

Minimum met.

Details

All good things must come to an end! We will need help cleaning up after the run & festivities. Let us know if you'd like to stay afterwards and help!

Location

With many hands, the work will be light. Meet at the MSU stadium to get direction on where we need help. Thanks! It should take less than an hour.

Water Aid Stations (9:45am-12:00pm)

Details

We will have 3-4 water stations on the race routes. Please let us know if you'd like to sit at one of these stations and pass out water to the runners.

Route Volunteers (9:30am - 12:00pm)

Details

We are looking for volunteers who would like to be characters, superheros, zombies, vampires, fun characters, anything spooky (but fun), to be along the race route for Run For Your Life. We will need about 25-40 people to stand along the route to make sure runners are able to stay on the correct route and to cheer them on! Costumes are encouraged, but optional!

Location

We ask that you attend a short 1 hour training Oct. 26th, 5:15-6pm at the Christian Center (921 W Mendenhall St, Bozeman)- where you will be given the location for your volunteering . Then arrive at your location by 9:45am Sunday Oct. 29th, for the run.

Costume Character Volunteers (9:30am-12pm)

Minimum met, 1 volunteer spot remaining.

Details

Take fun photos along the route to share on social media.

Route Flaggers (9:00 am - 12:30 pm)

Minimum met.

Details

We will need about 5 certified flaggers to help with specific route crossings during the race. Costumes are encouraged, but optional!

Location

Along the route at particular crossings. See map. Meet at the stadium at 9:15am to get directions to your place on the route. We will assign your location before race day (but you also can let us know where you would like to be if you have a preference).

Parking/Registration Help (8:30-10am)

Minimum met.

Details

If you can only spare an hour or so, this is a great job! Please arrive at the MSU Bobcat stadium at 8:30am, and we will direct you where to help. You will be under a covered awning if you help with registration.

Race Packet Pick-up Help (Oct. 28, 11AM-7PM)

Hand-out race packets and welcome our runners, as they prepare for the race! Packets include free t-shirts and a race timing bib and free items from our sponsors.

Location

The Element Hotel: 25 East Mendenhall Street, Bozeman

Bike Pace Leader

At least 2 more volunteers needed.

Details

Your job will be to lead the runners on the course. You will need to be familiar with the course. Please print maps and bike course ahead of time. 10K race starts at 10am and the 5K at 10:15am. Please arrive at the stadium at 9:30am to check in. Dress warm and bike carefully, studded tires might be helpful.

Bike Sweeper

At least 2 more volunteers needed.

Details

Your job will be to follow the runners on the course and make sure the last runner/walker makes it back to the stadium. You will need to be familiar with the course. Please print maps and bike course ahead of time. 10K race starts at 10am and the 5K at 10:15am. Please arrive at the stadium at 9:30am to check in. Dress warm and bike carefully, studded tires might be helpful.
