Flaggers will be used at intersections that require traffic control. These volunteers will need to have a current VDOT flagger certification. On race day, you will use your flagger certification to direct traffic and to direct runners in the correct direction and prevent traffic from entering the course. More information about training course: Sign up for this job to be contacted about training course options. Training courses consist of a total of about 1 hour. This includes watching a 30-minute video and taking/passing a 25-question test. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a VDOT flagger training certification card which is good for 4 years. We will offer one course on a weekend, one on a weekday evening, and one at lunchtime on a weekday.
